Dynamic Tape

Move Better. Reduce Strain. Stay Active.

Pain doesn’t always mean you need to stop moving, sometimes your body just needs the right kind of support.

Dynamic Tape is a therapeutic taping technique I use in practice to support movement, reduce strain on irritated tissues, and help your body heal while you stay active. It’s especially helpful when pain lingers, movement feels restricted, or rest alone hasn’t solved the problem.

Serving Burnaby Heights, North Burnaby, and surrounding communities.

What Is Dynamic Tape?

Dynamic Tape is a highly elastic therapeutic tape designed to assist movement rather than restrict it. Unlike traditional kinesiology tape, Dynamic Tape works more like a bungee cord absorbing load, reducing strain on muscles and joints, and supporting your body through full ranges of motion.

It’s applied strategically based on how you move, where your body needs support, and what activities you’re returning to.

Dynamic Tape may help:

  • Reduce strain on overworked or irritated tissues

  • Support joints during movement

  • Improve comfort during daily activities and exercise

  • Allow healing while maintaining mobility

  • Provide sensory input to the nervous system to support body awareness and movement control

Who Can Benefit from Dynamic Tape?

Dynamic Tape can be helpful for individuals of all ages, including infants, children, teens, and adults.

You may benefit if you’re dealing with:

  • Low back pain or recurring flare-ups

  • Hip, knee, ankle, or foot pain

  • Shoulder or neck strain

  • Sports or exercise-related injuries

  • Desk-related posture strain

  • Growth-related pain in kids and teens

  • Prenatal or postpartum movement support

Each application is customized based on your body, your movement patterns, and your goals.

Basic How To Use

PREP

Start with clean, dry skin—remove oils, lotions, and excess hair. Apply adhesive spray for better hold, cut the tape to size, and round the corners. Avoid touching the sticky side to maintain adhesion.

APPLY

Anchor the tape with large sections (3–4 finger widths), then apply a small stretch in the opposite direction. Smooth down the tape, removing any creases, and press firmly for 30 seconds to maximize adhesion.

REMOVE

Gently hold the skin and peel the tape slowly, close to the skin, in small increments for a comfortable, safe removal.
